The history of La Borda de Cal Montane dates back to the end of the 19th century with the efforts of our grandparents and great-grandparents. Farmers by profession and all of them born in Alt Urgell, were the ones who built it. However, over the years and after several comings and goings to the town, life circumstances ended up moving them to larger cities such as La Seu d'Urgell, Lérida or Barcelona and La Borda was then abandoned for decades.

However, the idea of giving a new life to this house, which for us was a symbol of our family and our ancestors, had always been in our minds and it was not until 2014 that we began its rehabilitation with the aim of creating a unique tourist space at the height of the singular place where it is located.
